TAIPEI - Singer Jolin Tsai let the cat out of the bag when she gave a speech at newlywed actors Ruby Lin and Wallace Huo's banquet on Tuesday (Aug 2) and said: "May your baby be healthy."

But she caught herself and flashed an awkward smile, as the host said: "You can't say it yet," reported Apple Daily.

Lin, 40, and Huo, 36, wed in Bali on Sunday, about two months after announcing their relationship on Weibo. They have yet to confirm baby rumours, although she hinted on Sunday that they would "soon be a family of three".

The mothering feast - the customary banquet for the bride going home - was held in Palais de Chine hotel in Taipei.

Tsai, actress Tiffany Hsu, Leo Ku, host Pauline Lan, actress Chen Mei-fen and actor Peter Ho were among the stars at the 29-table feast.

Ho, who married his girlfriend of eight years in March and is planning a make-up banquet in September, took a dig at Lin. She "jumped the queue so badly", he said with a laugh.

According to reports, Huo and Lin were friends for 10 years before he confessed his love at her 40th birthday party in January.
