Mandopop King Jay Chou has dated many women, including Jolin Tsai and Patty Hou, but it was Taiwanese-Australian model Hannah Quinlivan who walked down the aisle with him in Yorkshire, northern England, on Saturday.
While Chou only officially acknowledged their relationship late last year, he and the 21-year-old had been dating for four years.
Here's more about their fairy-tale romance:
1. How it began
Chou has not talked about how he met Quinlivan, but his good friend, choreographer Ice Cream, took credit for introducing them to each other. He said that Quinlivan came across as guileless when they first met.
Separately, a report on NetEase last year said that Quinlivan, then a starlet, met Chou when she was working part-time at a fashion store, Phantaci, part-owned by Jay Chou.
That report also said a good friend introduced them because she was a pure girl. They got closer because Chou encouraged her to learn the piano, the report said.
2. Budding romance
By January 2011, when Quinlivan was 17, she was friendly enough with Chou to slip into his party for director Michel Gondry at rapper Jeff Huang's nightclub Primo, NetEase said. Chou did not leave the club with her, but she left in a white car from his company JVR music.
Then in the following month, they were photographed taking the same car, but he denied they were together.
In May that year, she visited him on a film set in Kuala Lumpur, and he described her as his girlfriend within earshot of the crew.
She once revealed on a Taiwan talk show that they first held hands during a horror movie. She was covering her eyes with her hands when Chou took one of her hands and held it.
She also said she often addressed him by his nickname "Chou Chou".
In 2013, the media began speculating that they were living together after they were photographed buying groceries for a Christmas dinner. Chou reportedly cooked more than 10 dishes for his girlfriend.
3. She stole his mum's heart
Chou joked in a recent interview that his mum now cares more for Quinlivan than she cares for him. "She already sees her as her daughter-in-law," the pop star said. His grandmother dotes on her too, he said.
During a trip to Kuala Lumpur in 2011, she also spent days travelling with his mum while Chou was busy, NetEase said.
Since then, he has been photographed on holiday with Quinlivan in France, Japan and Thailand. His mother always joins them, and for Chinese New Year in 2012, both their mothers holidayed with them in Osaka.
4. They never argue
In interviews before the wedding, Chou said he could not remember any major arguments with his bride.
Although he is 14 years older than Quinlivan, "my mental age is about the same as hers and we just get along like children", he said.
The only thing they disagree on is movies, because they like different genres, but she still asks him first if he wants to watch a certain movie with her, before seeing it with her friends.
But when it came to the wedding, he said she made all the decisions.
Chou said in December that he would like five children to form a band. Well, let's see if Quinlivan says yes to this too.
5. Touching proposal
Chou was rumoured to have proposed to Quinlivan in Hyde Park, where he was spotted by fans. He later clarified that the proposal was in England, but not at the Park.
He went down on one knee, and there were fireworks, Apple Daily said. She was so touched she cried, he said.
