Taipei - Mandopop king Jay Chou has confirmed that he will be getting married to model-actress Hannah Quinlivan on Jan 18. That is the day the star turns 36.

He said so himself while promoting his latest album, Hey, Not Bad, in Taipei on Dec 22, reported NetEase website.

Speculation was rife on the Internet that he had proposed to the Taiwanese-Australian beauty in London's Hyde Park. The singer refuted the rumour and said: "It's just wild guesses, how could I propose in a park? I can't even lip-sync for a music video in front of tourists, much less propose in front of them. It would have been uploaded immediately on their phones."

He added: "If I were to do it, it would be at a secret venue, and it wouldn't be secret if I were to reveal the location."

So has the deed been done? He responded coyly: "You'll have to see whether there's an important keepsake on the other party's hand."

Asked about the ring Quinlivan, 21, has been spotted wearing on the middle finger of her left hand and Chou reacted: "Really? Is there? The pictures need to be slightly clearer."
