Pop superstar Janet Jackson has confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child at age 50 - and has the baby bump to prove it.
A portrait of the star, her face beaming as she stood on a beach with an unmistakably protruding belly, was published by People magazine on Wednesday (Oct 12).
The younger sister of late king of pop Michael Jackson stunned fans in April by halting a global tour and saying that she and her husband, Qatari tycoon Wissam Al Mana, were "planning our family."
Jackson had not said more since then but was recently spotted by paparazzi shopping at a baby store in London - and looking like she had the tell-tale bump.
She is however, not the first to have a baby at a later age. Here are some other celebrities who became belated parents.
1. Andy Lau, 54, and Carol Choo, 50
The couple: Hong Kong star Andy Lau and Carol Choo, a former Malaysian beauty queen, had a low profile relationship for 23 years before saying their vows on June 24, 2008. Lau's career started in the 1980s and today he is an actor, film producer and singer. He is one of the four Heavenly Kings (a group of popular Hong Kong male singers) crowned by Hong Kong newspaper Oriental Daily News in 1992.
The baby: Hanna was born on May 9, 2012, when Lau was 50 and Choo was 46. He marked the occasion by posting a message on fan site Andy Lau World with the words, "Boss has become daddy", a reference to his fans' nickname for him.
In September this year, there were reports that Choo had secretly given birth to a baby boy.
2. Halle Berry, 50, and Olivier Martinez, 50
The couple: Despite filing for divorce nearly a year ago, X-men star Berry and French actor Martinez have continued to spend time together and even go on family vacations with their children, according to People magazine. However, despite rumours of a reconciliation, a source close to the couple said they were not back together. The couple were married for two years.
The baby: Berry called her pregnancy at age 46 a miracle, and revealed that her six-year-old daughter Nahla had prayed to have a little brother or sister, according to New York Daily News. Maceo Martinez was born on Oct 5, 2013.
3. Gwen Stefani, 46, and Gavin Rossdale, 50
The couple: Singer Stefani and Bush frontman Rossdale called it splits in Aug 2015 after a marriage of 13 years. The two had met in 1995 when Stefani's band No Doubt teamed up with the Goo Goo Dolls to open for the rock band Bush, whose singer was Rossdale. The pair have three boys together - Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 2.
The baby: Apollo Bowie Flynn was born on Feb 28, 2014, when Stefani was 44. Like his rocker parents, Apollo can belt out a tune, seen from a video Stefani shared on Snapchat in May.
4. Fann Wong, 45, and Christopher Lee, 45
The couple: Back in 1998, the pair had played star-crossed lovers Yang Guo and Little Dragon Girl in a TV adaptation of the classic wuxia drama The Return Of The Condor Heroes. The couple starred in the Mediacorp romantic comedy film The Wedding Game as famous celebrities who stage a love affair and get engaged for publicity. Released in January 2009, the movie was quickly followed by a real wedding when the lovebirds registered their marriage on May 16, 2009.
The baby: The couple's first son Zed was born on Aug 9, 2014, when Fann was 43. His English name was chosen because it was short and sweet. His Chinese name is Lee Xi Quan, a positive reference to the breaking of dawn.
5. Mariah Carey, 47, and Nick Cannon, 36
The couple: Another couple that has split, Carey and Cannon were married for six years before Cannon filed for divorce in December 2014. It was Carey's third marriage, and she is now engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer. Cannon and Carey remain on amicable terms, however, as they have been spotted at outings with their twin sons enjoying some family fun.
The babies: Grammy winner Mariah Carey gave birth to twins Moroccan and Monroe at age 42 in 2011. "Those are my two babies," Carey shared about not wanting more children to The Lowdown's Diana Madison earlier this year. "I think they would be so jealous because they get upset when I pet the dog."
6. Tina Fey, 46, and Jeff Richmond, 55
The couple: Comedy actress Fey and composer Richmond dated for seven years before getting married in 2001 in a Greek Orthodox ceremony. Richmond composed all the music for TV series 30 Rock, in which Fey starred as Liz Lemon.
The baby: Penelope Athena Richmond, the couple's second daughter, was born on Aug 10, 2011. Fey had revealed her pregnancy on The Oprah Winfrey Show earlier in April and even performed a hilarious Saturday Night Live skit with her baby bump in May. She addressed in her memoir Bossypants the guilt she had earlier felt about older daughter Alice not having a sibling.
7. Lee Young Ae, 45 and Jeong Ho Yeong, 65
The couple: Korean actress Lee Young Ae married Korean-American businessman Jeong Ho Yeong in 2009 in a low key wedding. The wedding took fans by surprise and Lee initially did not reveal her husband's identity, referring to him only by his last name in interviews. The actress headlined blockbuster drama Jewel In The Palace, the 2003 Korean drama that was a huge hit in Singapore.
The babies: Lee gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, on Feb 20, 2011, at the age of 40. A radiant photo shows her with her babies in the May cover of JLook magazine, a South Korean lifestyle monthly. She was then serving as its guest editor-in-chief.
