Hail, Caesar!, the Coen brothers' latest comedy, opened the celebrated film festival on Wednesday evening (Feb 11) and the stars were out in full force. Amal Clooney almost stole the show from her husband in a vintage Yves Saint Laurent dress. Actress Meryl Streep, president of the international jury this year, caused a minor ruckus when she responded to a question about the lack of diversity on the all-white panel with the comment: "We're all Africans, really." And you know it's hip to be seen at the Berlinale when even Chinese artist-cum-dissident Ai Wei Wei is spotted slumming it at an afterparty for opening night.
