HONG KONG • Casino heiress Laurinda Ho has announced her split with her boyfriend of four years, singer Kenji Wu, saying it is "the last time" she is shedding tears over him.

In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, Ho, the 24-year-old daughter of gambling magnate Stanley Ho, implied that Wu, 35, had been unfaithful, said Ming Pao Daily News.

"I've promised myself this is the last time I'll cry over you. I won't hate. I want to move forward and not fixate on the truths and falsehoods anymore," she wrote.

"Most importantly, I'll always remember the last impression you made on me in the moment we split. It will remind me not to be foolish anymore. Maybe one day I'll thank you. Thank you for letting me learn how to love myself more."

Wu also confirmed the split, said Ming Pao. He said: "Maybe the best response is not to say more. Thanks for all these wonderful years, she really is a good girl."

The couple went their separate ways two months ago, said Ming Pao, citing Ho's friends.

In their four years together, Wu was a male chauvinist and did not give Ho a sense of security, said the report. They quarrelled and split up several times, but he won her back every time. This time, she suspected he was seeing someone else and decided to end things.

Afterwards, she went to Hokkaido for a holiday with her friends, but he followed her there to try to make it up to her, said Ming Pao. He even posted a photo of himself in snowy Japan on social media, leading to talk that the two were travelling together.

This is why she decided to announce the split, her friends said.
