The Beguiled (M18)

Directed by Sofia Coppola, this film is about an injured soldier (Colin Farrell) who finds himself on the run as a deserter during the American Civil War. He seeks refuge at an all-female Southern boarding school, but soon enough, sexual tensions lead to dangerous rivalries as the women tend to his wounded leg while offering him comfort and companionship.

The Big Sick (NC16)

The film, based on a true story, is about how aspiring Pakistan-born comedian Kumail (Kumail Nanjiani) connects with white graduate student Emily (Zoe Kazan) after one of his stand-up sets. What they thought would just be a one-night stand blossoms into love, which complicates the life that is expected of Kumail by his traditional Muslim parents.

Passion Funtasy Competition @ Chingay 2018
