National Theatre Live: Frankenstein (NC16)

National Theatre Live is an initiative to broadcast theatre from the stages of the National Theatre, Barbican and the West End to cinemas and screens around the world. The stage production of Mary Shelley's classic gothic tale was a sell-out hit at the Royal National Theatre in London in 2011. Directed by Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle, it starred Benedict Cumberbatch as Creature and Jonny Lee Miller as Victor Frankenstein.

Doctors Without Borders Film Festival

Get close to the medical action of this Nobel Peace Prize recipient through critically acclaimed documentary films. Lego #BuildAmazingSG Contest

Create an iconic landmark, a monument, a cultural element or something about Singaporeans using Lego bricks and upload it to Instagram with the hashtags #BuildAmazingSG and #LEGOSG, with a short explanation of why the creation is special to you. Prizes include Lego sets and the 10 finalists will be displayed at Plaza Singapura mall. Open to all Singapore residents in two categories: juniors (aged five to 12) and adults (aged 13 onwards). Golden Point Award 2017

This is a creative writing competition for short story and poetry in the nation's four official languages: English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil. It is open only to writers who, at the time of application, have yet to publish a solo work in the specific genre they are competing in. The award ceremony will be held in November in conjunction with the Singapore Writers Festival 2017. Results will be announced during the festival. The deadline for submission is July 14.
