Los Angeles - Blake Lively has done a Gwyneth Paltrow, making a major announcement on her lifestyle website Preserve and crashing it.

The Gossip Girl actress confirmed her pregnancy on Monday by sharing a photo of herself, haloed with sunlight and cradling her baby bump, said Reuters. The rest of the post on Preserve was about family, featuring Instagram-perfect pictures of other pregnant women at a party in the countryside and congratulating "all the expecting mothers out there".

Lively, 27, and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, 37, are expecting their first child. They starred in Green Lantern in 2011 and married in 2012.

Reynolds is divorced from actress Scarlett Johansson, 29, who welcomed a daughter with her fiance, journalist Romain Dauriacto, last month.

Earlier this year, Oscar winner Paltrow announced her split with her husband, rocker Chris Martin, on her lifestyle website goop.
