Japanese quartet One OK Rock are back for their third gig in Singapore. With a sound that taps into genres such as alternative rock, hard rock and post-hardcore, the band have been building up their fanbase not just in Japan, where they play to packed arenas, but also around the world. Their tour is in support of their latest and seventh album, 35xxxv.

THE VAMPS WITH SPECIAL GUESTS THE TIDE - LIVE IN SINGAPORE

BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards winners The Vamps went from YouTube musicians to arena-playing pop-rock stars in the past few years, with five Top 10 hits on the British charts, including signature tunes Can We Dance, Last Night and Somebody To You.

The band run their own record label too and their set here will include their first signing, American teen band The Tide, who are set to release their debut album this year.

ALL THINGS NEW

One of the acts to catch at All Things New, the Esplanade's month-long series of free shows featuring new home-grown acts, are progressive rock virtuosos Forbidden Planet, who are making their live debut.

Their recently released first album, From The Bedroom To Oblivion: Two Decades Of Obscurity, features a smorgasbord of sounds and the quartet play two sets tomorrow evening.

Also performing as part of the series this weekend are Pixel Apartment, who launch their new debut album The Grass Is Greener, Now on Sunday.
