Gigs Picks: Dirgahayu, Sick Individuals, Christina Perri and more

DIRGAHAYU: LIVE IN SINGAPORE

Gritty rock riffs and textural guitar rhythms, in the vein of American alternative rock acts Mutemath and Battles, are the stock-in-trade of Kuala Lumpur-based band Dirgahayu. The instrumental math-rock group will perform this weekend, supported by three home-grown indie acts: the Psalms, Anechois and sub:shaman.

ZOUK SOUNDSYSTEM PRESENTS SICK INDIVIDUALS WITH HONG

Making their debut at nightclub Zouk this weekend are Dutch duo Sick Individuals, a rising act in Holland's big room house scene. On the back of recent club hits Blueprint, with Dutch DJ and producer Dannic, and I Am, with Swedish DJ and producer Axwell, the duo have become one of the leading names in electronic dance music and are known for their high-energy DJ sets.

CHRISTINA PERRI HEAD OR HEART TOUR

American singer-songwriter Christina Perri shot to fame with her triple-platinum single Jar Of Hearts in 2010. Since then, the pop singer, known for songs that tug at the heartstrings, went on to be named iTunes' Breakthrough Pop Artist of 2011 and has launched several other hit singles. They include A Thousand Years, Human and Burning Gold. Tonight, she will be performing favourites from her latest album, Head Or Heart (2014).
