DEMI LOVATO: DEMI WORLD TOUR

Platinum-selling American singer Demi Lovato kicks off the Asian leg of her world tour in Singapore next week. Lovato is behind some of the biggest pop hits in recent years, including chart-topping singles such as Skyscraper, Heart Attack and Give Your Heart A Break. Expect to hear these songs and new singles, such as Nightingale, from the powerhouse singer at her first full-scale concert here.

TROPICLAB WITH NICK WARREN

Local DJ and producer collective TropicLab teams up with legendary British house DJ and producer Nick Warren for what is expected to be a groovy night of techno, house and electronica. Warren is among the band of superstar DJs to have emerged in the 1990s, known for his prolific work with Britain's Global Underground music series and as one-half of progressive house and trance duo Way Out West.

THE VOODOO SOUND

Local progressive-rock group The Voodoo Sound (left) create a sound that blends funk, metal and traditional ethnic rhythms, making for a unique live performance. The group, who play two shows at the Esplanade this weekend, comprise more than 10 members, using guitars, synths and rap to add to their rambunctious dynamic.

SLEEPMAKESWAVES

Australian instrumental rock band sleepmakeswaves prove they do not need words to strike a chord with listeners. Mixing heavy rock with textured electronics, the young quartet create emotive music that can send chills down your spine. In the past three years, the band, who recently put out new album Love Of Cartography, have shared the stage with some of the best post-rock and post-punk acts, such as Mono, Pelican and Russian Circles. Supporting them are local emo punk band False Plaintiff.
