DISTRICT DESIGN DIALOGUE - HOLLAND VILLAGE

Ten black-and-white terrace houses at Chip Bee Gardens are playing host to a series of installations, exhibitions and performances as part of Singapore Design Week.

The Stage at 14, Jalan Kelabu Asap will present acoustic sessions by various singer-songwriters such as Weish tomorrow and the likes of Adia Tay and Abby Simone X MMLD on Sunday. Performances are ticketed at $15 and can be purchased at www.ddd.sg/houses/stage.

The Stage will also feature a sound art installation by musician and photographer Axel Serik and immersive digital art shows, such as Sound Dining by musician Ritz Ang and artist Yangermeister, where they replace food with music in an installation that mimics the fine-dining experience.

Over at 10 Jalan Kelabu Asap, The Blackout Hangout features electronic music acts curated by DJ Zig Zach, including Giuseppe G, Eric Rogers and Muto Masashi.

REBEL YELL WITH WEELIKEME & KiDG

The rock music equivalent of indie club event Poptart returns. Expect everything from hard rock and punk to psychedelic and glam rock, all housed within the newly-opened Boat Quay shophouse bar, The Nanyang Club.

TRUE COLOURS CONCERT

The True Colours Concert brings together some of the Asia-Pacific region's most accomplished performing artists with disabilities.

The line-up includes Canadian virtuoso violinist Adrian Anantawan (above), who was born without a right hand; and France's Got Talent 2016 second runner-up Filipina Alienette Coldfire, who was born blind.

The event is presented by Japan-based philanthropic organisation The Nippon Foundation and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, and produced by Very Special Arts Singapore.

GASTROBEATS @ I LIGHT MARINA BAY

Hip-hop and urban music take centre stage for the second weekend of Gastrobeats - a series of gigs that are part of annual sustainable light-art festival i Light Marina Bay.

Rising Singaporean rappers Yung Raja (left) and Fariz Jabba (right) take the stage to spit quickfire rhymes tonight at 8.15pm, while the likes of Akeem Jahat and Subhas perform tomorrow and Sunday respectively.
