HONG KONG • Singer Faye Wong's daughter Leah Dou made her performance debut in Hong Kong last Saturday at a music and arts festival.
Apple Daily said she sang seven English songs in the half hour she was on stage at Clockenflap 2015, held in Kowloon.
The 18-year-old wrote those songs, which included Blue Flamingo and My Days.
She also played the guitar. Apple added that she sounded like her mother.
She chatted to the audience in English but also broke into Cantonese by saying: "Hello Clockenflap. How are you? I am Dou Jingtong."
Backstage, she said she was working on a record which will be out next year.
Dou, Wong's child with ex- husband, Beijing rocker Dou Wei, has performed live four times, with the first in Tokyo in August when she shared a stage at a music festival with Japanese bands.
Asked if her mother has commented on her singing, she said: "No."
Acts at Clockenflap, which ended yesterday, included British singer Pete Doherty and his band The Libertines and Irish singer Damien Rice.
