Chris Hughes made a windfall from working for the social media giant and wants everyone to have a shot at success

NEW YORK • Chris Hughes, 34, a co-founder of Facebook, was raised by Lutheran parents in Hickory, North Carolina and they taught him, by example, to tithe.

Every year, they gave 10 per cent of their income to the church and other local charities and he carried that tradition into adulthood.
