SINGAPORE - Sorry, ladies. Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin is off the market, a source close to him has confirmed.

The 33-year-old Brazilian will marry Ms Elaine Andriejanssen, 31, an Indonesian Chinese based in Singapore, in France next month, the source told The Straits Times.

The Straits Times understands that Ms Andriejanssen studied at Raffles Girls' School (Secondary).

The source, a friend of the couple, said the pair threw a lavish engagement party - including a performance by Grammy Awards winner John Legend - in Bali, Indonesia, last month.

Mr Saverin's relationship status on his Facebook page, however, says he has been engaged to Ms Andriejanssen since March 27, 2014.

"She Said Yes!!! I am engaged to the love of my life. Excited for a life full of adventure, happiness and health," he wrote in a post dated March 28, 2014.

Page Six, an entertainment website, had reported on Tuesday that Mr Saverin was going to marry Miss Singapore Universe 2009 Rachel Kum on the French Riviera on June 27.

This is not true, said the source who asked not to be named. "Ed is definitely not marrying Rachel."

Ms Andriejanssen lives in Singapore with her family, the source added.

Mr Saverin, who has been living in Singapore since 2009, renounced his US citizenship in 2012 and is said to be worth US$5.1 billion (S$6.9 billion).

He is one of the five co-founders of Facebook along with Mark Zuckerberg, and is an investor in several start-up companies including online property search portal 99.co and local e-grocer Redmart.
