Even without her K-pop group, the hugely popular Girls' Generation, former member Jessica Jung still has star power.

More than 100 eager fans waited outside the fashion store Salon by Surrender at Marina Bay Sands to catch a glimpse of Jung, who was here to promote her fashion label Blanc & Eclare.

The 26-year-old creative director held a media session in the store on Thursday afternoon.

Lucky fans who spent $350 and more got to meet Jung at a signing session after.

Earlier this month, Jung officially parted ways with talent agency SM Entertainment, which is behind mega K-pop group Girls' Generation.

Now based in Korea, she has been busy helming her fashion brand.

Jung told the media that the two things that inspire her fashion label are travelling and her mother.

She says: "I get my inspiration by travelling. I love travelling to different cities and experiencing different cultures. All cultures have distinct colours... it really helps inspire me.

"Another big inspiration is my mother. She's very classy and elegant. I always wanted to be like her when I grow up."
