HONG KONG - Actor Edison Chen is the talk of the Chinese Internet, after making a bizarre and largely unprintable attack on model Chiling Lin on Weibo.
Chen, who is said to be dating Chinese model Shu Pei Qin, posted a photo of Lin on Wednesday (July 27) night with a rude message in English that disparaged her looks, her smell and how she made her career as a supermodel and an actress.
"I warned u that u won't like me when i'm angry miss", the post read in part.
The post was removed later and replaced with a message in Chinese: "Why did I call her names? She knows. I warned her. Ask her! Thank you for your co-operation. You can say I'm wrong but I think she's more wrong."
Reached by Apple Daily, Chen responded in English: "Time will reveal all truths".
Speaking to Taiwan Apple Daily through an assistant, Lin said Chen's attack was "inexplicable". She said she did not know him and did not know what had happened.
Weibo chatter had it that Lin was on a variety show with Qin's friend, Chinese Victoria's Secret model Sui He, and that the two women did not like each other. Lin was also said to have badmouthed Qin in a circle of friends on WeChat.
Lin denied the theories, said Apple Daily. She said she had not started a circle of friends on the app.
