SEOUL - Thursday's finale of hit drama Descendants Of The Sun achieved a rating of 38.8 per cent of viewers in South Korea, Yonhap news agency reported.
The 16th episode of the show was predicted to score 40 per cent.
If it had reached that mark, it would have become the first weeknight series to do so nationwide since 2012's The Moon Embracing The Sun, starring Kim Soo Hyun.
However, Yonhap cited data from Nielsen Korea to say that, in Seoul, where Descendants has been more popular, 44.2 per cent of viewers tuned in on Thursday night.
