LOS ANGELES - Roseanne is the latest series to be coming back to television.
ABC president Channing Dungey said on Tuesday that the network would revive its classic working-class sitcom and was eyeing a midseason debut, reported Variety.
The original cast, including Roseanne Barr, John Goodman and Sara Gilbert, will return for the eight-episode reboot. Tom Werner and Bruce Helford will return as executive producers, with Barr and Gilbert also executive producing, said the report.
The original series ran for nine seasons from the late 1980s to the 1990s on ABC, which had competed with Netflix for the revival.
