Streisand to be presenter at Tonys

Singer Barbra Streisand, 74, will be a presenter on June 12 in New York at the Tony Awards, which honours the best in Broadway. It will be her first Tonys appearance in almost 50 years. Streisand, who is promoting a new album, joins presenters including Oprah Winfrey, Cate Blanchett, Nathan Lane and Carole King.


Playboy goes into music streaming

Playboy magazine on Wednesday entered music streaming by launching Playboy Music, an app for smartphones and tablets that sets racy footage of women to live recordings of songs.

Subscribers who pay US$0.99 (S$1.36) each month gain access to images of models posing, acting and lounging to the music. Performers include experimental electronic artist The Flashbulb and Colombian jazz fusion band Monsieur Perine.
