Rihanna tops The Beatles on US singles chart

Pop star Rihanna has surpassed The Beatles as the artist to rule the United States singles chart for the second longest duration.

Work, her single featuring rapper Drake, spent its ninth week on top of the Billboard singles chart for the seven days through Friday. Billboard magazine said she has now spent 60 weeks in the top spot in total, one more than The Beatles. The record is Mariah Carey's 79 weeks.


Tegan And Sara return to Singapore

Canadian indie-pop duo Tegan And Sara return to Singapore to perform at The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre on July 29. Tickets starting at $68 go on sale next Wednesday from Sistic.
