Music giants to record songs using fans' lyrics

Top names in music including Kanye West and Ellie Goulding will record songs from lyrics submitted by fans in a unique interactive album aimed at fighting global poverty, announced Global Citizen, known for organising concerts in New York to eradicate extreme poverty by 2030.

The 12-track album, out later this year, will also include Mumford & Sons and indie rock giants The National. Fans have till March 31 to submit original lyrics, poems or stories.


Adele kicks off tour with London show

Adele made a triumphant London debut to her music tour on Tuesday, kicking off a series of concerts in her hometown in which one couple got engaged during her show at the O2 arena. When they exchanged vows during her performance of Make You Feel My Love, they were invited to stand beside the singer, who told the audience of the proposal: "(It's) one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed at one of my shows."
