Michelle Yeoh to join Crazy Rich Asians movie

Malaysia-born actress Michelle Yeoh is set to join the cast of the Hollywood movie adaptation of Singapore-born author Kevin Kwan's best-selling novel, Crazy Rich Asians, says trade publication Hollywood Reporter. The 54-year-old star will reportedly play Eleanor Young, the controlling matriarch of a wealthy Singaporean family.


Uma Thurman shooting serial killer thriller

Uma Thurman will star in Lars von Trier's new serial killer thriller, The House That Jack Built, producers announced as shooting began in Sweden. She will star alongside Matt Dillon and Bruno Ganz for the controversial Danish director's first feature since 2013's Nymphomaniac, which also starred Thurman. The film will be out next year.


Pitbull gig in May

Grammy-winning American hip-hop/reggaeton rapper Pitbull will return for a show here at Suntec Convention Centre on May 27. Tickets from $138 go on sale from next Tuesday through Apactix, at the Indoor Stadium Box Office and SingPost outlets.
