Mediacorp actress Jin Yinji to retire

Veteran Mediacorp actress Jin Yinji said she would retire in February when her contract expires.

She told Shin Min Daily News in an interview she wants to spend more time with her grandson as she had missed her son's growing years because of her work.

"I'm satisfied," the South Korea-born actress said of her 29 years of work in dramas with Mediacorp.

Michael Douglas' son released from jail

The eldest son of actor Michael Douglas has been released from prison after serving seven years for drug trafficking and is now in a halfway house in New York, the American media reported on Monday.

Cameron Douglas, 37, was sentenced in 2010 to five years in prison for possession and sale of methamphetamine. His sentence was extended by two years in solitary confinement, after he admitted to smuggling drugs into the prison.

Cameron, Michael Douglas's son with his first wife Diandra Luker, was originally set to be released in 2018, but is now living at a rehabilitation centre in New York, reports said.
