Lisa Marie Presley files for divorce

Singer Lisa Marie Presley, 48, has filed for divorce from guitarist Michael Lockwood, 55, her husband of more than 10 years, according to records at a Los Angeles court. The filing cites irreconcilable differences. They have seven-year-old twin daughters.

Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley, was previously married to Danny Keough, Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage.

Johnny Depp's Basquiat collection goes on sale

Eight works by American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat collected by actor Johnny Depp over 25 years went on sale yesterday at auction house Christie's in London.

Almost all the paintings and drawings date from 1981 and illustrate the New York post-punk scene of the time. One, called Pork, from 1981, is estimated to sell for between £2.5 million (S$4.5 million) and £3.5 million.

Judge dismissess Rolling Stone rape lawsuit

A federal judge in New York has dismissed a lawsuit by three former University of Virginia fraternity members who accused Rolling Stone magazine, its publisher Wenner Media and a journalist of defamation over a since retracted article describing a 2012 gang rape.

The judge said details about the attackers in the November 2014 article by Sabrina Rubin Erdely were "too vague and remote". The article described how a female student was raped at the university's Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house.
