Pop star Katy Perry, 33, made a surprise appearance at an American couple's wedding last Saturday, taking photos and dancing with the newlyweds at their reception in St Louis.

"She actually asked the bride and groom if she could come in and crash their wedding and they both said yes," a wedding guest said. "Everyone was shocked and happily surprised."

Pink's album tops Billboard chart

Singer Pink's new album, Beautiful Trauma, has opened at No. 1 on the latest Billboard chart by a wide margin, with the equivalent of 408,000 sales in the United States, according to Nielsen.

Of that total, 384,000 were sales of complete albums. That number is the largest for a No. 1 album since Drake's Views notched 852,000 11/2 years ago.

Weinstein Co faces civil-rights inquiry

New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman has opened an inquiry into The Weinstein Company examining whether allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment against its co-founder Harvey Weinstein reflect broad gender discrimination and other civil-rights violations.

On Monday, the attorney-general's Civil Rights Bureau sent a subpoena to the entertainment company seeking documents, including formal and informal complaints of sexual harassment or other discrimination based on gender or age.
