Emily Blunt to play Mary Poppins in sequel

Beloved cinematic singing nanny Mary Poppins will return to the big screen, this time with Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator and star of the Broadway hit Hamilton, as her sidekick, Walt Disney said.

Mary Poppins Returns, a sequel to 1964's Mary Poppins, opens on Christmas Day 2018 and will star Blunt in the titular role made famous by Julie Andrews. Miranda will play a new character named Jack, a street lamplighter in the film which will see Poppins returning to the now grown-up Jane Banks, Michael Banks and his three children after they suffer a personal loss, Disney said.


Director's cut DVD of Descendants coming

A director's cut DVD of the hit drama Descendants Of The Sun will be released in the second half of this year. It will feature a re-edited version of the last episode, as well as deleted scenes, a music video and behind-the-scene footage.


Rolling Stones guitarist a new dad at 68

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood is a new dad at age 68. He and wife Sally, 38, announced the birth of twin girls, Gracie Jane and Alice Rose on May 30. Wood has four other children with two previous wives.
