Buzzing: Elton John, Bon Jovi to headline climate concert

Elton John, Bon Jovi to headline climate concert

Singers Elton John and Bon Jovi will headline a 24-hour performance this month aimed at urging environmental action ahead of key climate change talks in Paris, organisers said on Monday.

The event, spearheaded by former United States vice-president Al Gore and known as 24 Hours Of Reality And Live Earth, will feature artists, scientists and politicians. It will air online on Friday and Saturday.

Prince to tour with solo piano

Prince is planning a European tour featuring just his voice and the piano, reports said on Monday. The singer, who rarely makes traditional, straightforward announcements, apparently broke the news by inviting a small group of music writers from European newspapers to his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota.

Spain's El Pais said Prince would play in 12 countries starting on Nov 21 in Vienna and finishing on Dec 22 in Brussels.

"I don't want to get bad reviews, but at the same time I don't want to go back to what I feel safe doing because I've done it for 30 years," he was quoted as saying. "With the piano, it's more naked, more pure. You see exactly what you get."
