Depp is most overpaid
Johnny Depp is the most overpaid Hollywood actor this year, says Forbes magazine. The actor, whose 2015 film Mortdecai grossed US$47 million (S$66 million) on a US$60 million budget, returned US$1.20 for every US$1 he was paid, it said. Depp was followed by Denzel Washington (with US$6.50) and Will Ferrell (US$6.80) on its Hollywood's Most Overpaid Actors 2015 list, released on Tuesday.
New Metallica album after nearly 10 years
Metallica have hinted that a new album is getting closer after nearly 10 years. In a holiday video sent to fans, frontman James Hetfield offered season's greetings on Tuesday from inside a studio before guiding the paws of his cat to hit play on a recording. Fans could listen to 15 seconds of Metallica with a thrashing rhythm guitar line and a lyric in Hetfield's voice. The album will be the first since 2008's Death Magnetic.
