CHOI AND CHAN SPLIT
Hong Kong stars Charlene Choi, 32, and William Chan, 29, announced their split after a five-year romance.
In separate but similar Weibo posts yesterday, they wrote about the scrutiny their relationship has been receiving and how "keeping silent would only lead to being hurt and misunderstood", and said they have decided on an amicable split.
Their romance was not well received when they admitted to it in 2010 because Chan was then unknown, compared to Choi of pop duo Twin's fame.

VIET CONG ROCKERS TO CHANGE NAME
Canadian indie rockers Viet Cong said they would change their name after weathering criticism that it was culturally insensitive. The four said they became convinced about the change after many chats with the Vietnamese community.
"We are not here to cause pain or remind people of atrocities of the past," they said on Facebook last Saturday, adding that they would take time to figure out a new name.
The Viet Cong is the popular name for the pro-communist guerrilla force that defeated American-allied South Vietnam. Activists had led a petition urging a club in Minneapolis to cut Viet Cong's show on Thursday.
