Beatles contract sold for $787,000

A contract that helped launch The Beatles commanded an auction price of £365,000 (S$787,150) at Sotheby's on Tuesday. The contract that John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr approved on Oct 1, 1962, confirmed Brian Epstein, sometimes known as the fifth Beatle, as their manager and also brought in Starr as their drummer.


Walker's daughter sues Porsche

Meadow Walker, the teenage daughter of Fast & Furious star Paul Walker, has filed a wrongful death suit against Porsche in Los Angeles on Monday, alleging safety shortcuts led to his death in a fiery crash of a 2005 Carrera GT.
