Christian Bale has left the role of iconic car maker Enzo Ferrari in a highly anticipated biopic from director Michael Mann, citing an unwillingness to put on weight, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Bale, known for both shedding and gaining kilos in the name of his art, is reportedly concerned that gaining too much weight over a short period might be bad for his health.

Court rules J-pop star has freedom to date

A 23-year-old former J-pop star, who was sued by her talent agency for dating a male fan, won a legal battle this week after a court ruled that the suit threatened her "freedom to pursue happiness". Her talent agency filed the lawsuit in 2014 and sought 9.9 million yen (S$120,000) in damages. The singer's name is not disclosed.
