Ah Boys To Men team producing new movie about ex-convicts

The team behind the Ah Boys To Men franchise is producing a new movie about former convicts, it announced at Filmart in Hong Kong on Monday.

Take 2, a $1.3-million film, will be co-produced by mm2 Entertainment and Jack Neo's J Team Productions. Neo will executive-produce the movie, which Ivan Ho will direct. Ho co-wrote Neo's movies, last month's Long Long Time Ago and last year's Ah Boys To Men 3: Frogmen.

Mm2 announced two other films. Ibu, a horror movie to be directed by Raihan Halim (Banting, 2014), will be filmed and released in two versions, in Malay and Mandarin, in Singapore. Mm2 will also produce Ghost Net, a Hong Kong anthology of three horror stories.


Mayday to perform in Singapore in August

Popular Taiwanese rock band Mayday will be performing in Singapore in August. More details will be released next month.
