Volkswagen scandal headed for Hollywood

The Volkswagen scandal over diesel emission tests is headed for Hollywood. Paramount Pictures and actor Leonardo DiCaprio's production company have acquired movie rights to a book proposal by New York Times journalist Jack Ewing about the clean diesel scandal, the biggest crisis in Volkswagen's 78-year history, Paramount and Marly Rusoff Literary Agency said on Monday.

Thinking Out Loud pulls ahead on Spotify

English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran's ballad Thinking Out Loud has achieved a new feat - the first song to be streamed half a billion times on Spotify. The streaming site estimated that one in four users had a Sheeran song on his or her playlist. For his entire catalogue, he has enjoyed 2.9 billion streams, behind only Eminem, Spotify said.
