Director J.J. Abrams to produce Japanese hit anime

Star Wars: Episode IX director J.J. Abrams has signed on as producer behind a Hollywood live-action adaptation of hit Japanese anime Your Name.

The plot in the 2016 sci-fi film revolves around two teenagers who discover they can swop bodies. The film was the highest-grossing anime film in the world, earning US$355 million (S$483 million).

Rita Ora to host MTV Europe Music Awards

Singer Rita Ora will host the MTV Europe Music Awards in London on Nov 12.

She told Agence France-Presse that she would perform a new song from her upcoming album at the event.
