MAROON 5 CHINA GIG OFF

A planned concert by United States band Maroon 5 in Shanghai has been cancelled, the promoter said, prompting talk that the authorities refused permission because a band member met the exiled Tibetan leader, the Dalai Lama. The China office of US promoter Live Nation gave no reason for the cancellation of the Sept 12 gig.
