Bruce Willis to return for final Die Hard movie

NEW YORK • Wanted: an actor who has big shoes to fill, but will not have shoes to wear.

That vacancy plus its job requirements have arisen after Bruce Willis agreed to reprise his role as police detective John McClane in the sixth - and final - edition of the Die Hard franchise that started in 1988.

The plot of the latest film will dwell on the character's past and present as a policeman, Fox News reported.

Willis' character went barefoot in the first film in the series and the producers are seeking an actor to portray McClane in his younger days .

The other part of the movie will focus on the present, with Willis as McClane.

And if anyone is wondering why the actor always seems to cock his ear in the Die Hard movies as though he is straining to hear, here is the reason: In the first instalment, he suffered two-thirds hearing loss in his left ear after an accident during the shooting of the film.
