(REUTERS) - Renee Zellweger returns to the big screen in Bridget Jones's Baby, and Universal Pictures released the first full trailer for the film on Tuesday (June 28).

Colin Firth returns as his character Mark Darcy, while Patrick Dempsey plays a new love interest. Bridget, who winds up pregnant, is unsure which of the men is the father of her child; therefore, they both stand by her side over her ninth month term.

Hugh Grant, who appeared in the first two films, 2001's Bridget Jones's Diary and 2004's Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason, does not appear in the new movie, however Emma Thompson joins the cast as Bridget's wise-cracking doctor.

The film is slated for release in mid-September.
