Baybeats' second night features local favourites and regional acts

SINGAPORE - Indie music festival Baybeats continues its second night on Saturday with homegrown favourites, such as singer-songwriters Inch Chua and Bani Hidir, holding court at the Esplanade.

Acts from the free festival's budding bands programme this year, wyd:syd and Lost Weekend, serenaded the crowds at the Arena or Outdoor Theatre.

Teenage indie-rockers Aspectrum, from the same programme in 2012 under the name Godzilla, were back this year at the largest stage dubbed the Powerhouse.

There was also action on stage from regional acts such as Indonesian indie band Lightcraft, who played melancholic and ethereal tunes, and South Korea-based duo Sighborg, who put up impressive displays of musicianship with their complex, math-rock songs.
