THE PHYGITAL WORLD

The Phygital World is a group exhibition featuring six artists, which takes a satirical approach and provides commentary on how the online and offline worlds have become one, in the way we consume information and entertainment.

The works are brightly coloured and in pop-art style, but despite being in your face, are also infused with sly nods to popular culture and questions on why we consume and interact the way we do.

The lead artist and curator of the exhibition is Jonathan "Zxerokool" Leong, whose works include Garden Of Internet Delights, and the show will also feature Li-Chuan Chong, Jack Youngblood, Brandon Tay, Benny Goerlach and Visual Hijack.

ORGANISED CHAOS

Organised Chaos is part of the M1 Contact Contemporary Dance Festival, presented by T.H.E Dance Company. The hour-long work is by festival director Kuik Swee Boon and resident Korean choreographer Kim Jae Duk.

This second collaboration between the two springs from an ongoing conversation about the inner workings of the human condition, and was pieced together from chaos and free-flowing improvisation.

Working separately at first, the two explore the social constructs that dictate human behaviour and then bring them together through conversation.

Where: Esplanade Theatre Studio MRT: City Hall, Esplanade When: Today & tomorrow, 8pm Admission: $32 from Sistic (call 6348-5555 or go to www.sistic.com.sg)
