Company: Left Profile

The boss: Michelle Chong, aka The Friend

Inspiration behind the agency's name: A television producer once told Chong that the left side of her face looks better than the right.

Talents: Five artists, including Chong, 38; and hosts Pornsak Prajakwit, 33, and Lee Teng, 31.

Advertisers' darling Pornsak has four endorsements under his belt. Lee is catching up - since snagging his first endorsement this year after nine years in show business, he went on to score two more.

The two eloquent hosts helm prime-time Channel 8 variety shows, such as Pornsak's all three seasons of The Joy Truck and Lee's Love On A Plate 3 (2015).

When actress Michelle Chong was looking to start an agency in 2012, she thought it did not make sense to manage just one artist - herself.

For "economies of scale", she decided to sign on more talents. She decided to pick people she could get along with, so she roped in her two friends Pornsak and Lee.

Chong, who is single, says: "They have the kind of personality I like, which is quite like me - easy-going, funny and lively."

Host Lee has taken to the intimate setting of a boutique agency. He says: "We are a small company, we are like family. Everything is open for discussion. Michelle is very encouraging and is open to me trying different things."

The articulate host, who also has an interest in singing, will be releasing his first Chinese single next year.

Pornsak adds that since his boss is his friend, he can call her in the wee hours of the morning for fashion advice.

Calling Chong his "24/7 helpline", the bubbly Pornsak says: "I can call her at 2am to ask her if the suit that I'll be wearing for my appearance the next day goes better with a tie or a pocket square, or both."
