NEW YORK • A two-week nightmare for Gotham actor Donal Logue has ended after his transgender daughter Jade, who had gone missing, returned home.

He tweeted last Saturday that the 16-year-old was safe.

"Thank you all for the love and support," Logue, 51, said. "We are good. Kasey (his wife) and I wish to thank the NYPD, FBI, @MissingKids and countless others."

The parents had gone online to seek help after the teenager went missing following an event at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on June 26. Logue had also tapped on the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children for support.

The actor, in his online posts, noted that "there are some predators... dealing with sweet, trusting souls".

"It's okay. Just drop her off. Let her get back in touch with her mother Kasey or me - we'll take her back, with hugs and no questions asked," he added.

According to the Daily Mail, the police found Jade 640km away in North Carolina, but did not say if she was a runaway.
