7 Letters, the acclaimed SG50 anthology of short films, will make its international premiere at the upcoming Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. The festival, a major film event in Asia, begins on Oct 1.
This was reported by ScreenDaily and shared by Boo Junfeng, one of the film-makers who contributed to the project.
7 Letters is a collection of seven short films by seven of Singapore's most prominent film-makers, including Eric Khoo, K. Rajagopal, Jack Neo, Tan Pin Pin, Kelvin Tong and Royston Tan.
Its run in Golden Village cinemas has just been extended until Sept 2, due to popular demand.
Normal prices to the Golden Village screenings apply. All proceeds, after covering any theatrical and distribution costs, will go towards the 7 Letters' beneficiaries announced earlier. 7 Letters is fully supported by the Singapore Film Commission.
There had been much public demand to see the work ever since it played to unanimous critical praise when it premiered at the Capitol Theatre last month. Tickets for all three showings that weekend were snapped up within two hours of their release.
Additional screenings were then arranged to be shown at the National Museum for National Day two weekends later. Those tickets were gone within a few hours as well.
