SINGAPORE - About 2,000 guests are now at Singapore Idol Taufik Batisah's wedding reception at Muslim Delights, a rooftop wedding venue in Bendemeer.
The 33-year-old singer solemnised his marriage to Ms Sheena Akbal, a 31-year-old production manager, earlier at the same venue.
The guest list includes both the bride and groom's family and friends, including select members of Taufik's fan clubs from Singapore and Malaysia.
Guests are tucking into a buffet lunch of Malay dishes such as beef rendang and ayam masak merah. Those invited include Taufik's second cousin, Ms Norherliza Rahim, 30, a teacher.
"I'm happy to see that Taufik has finally found someone to share his life with, " she says.
Taufik and the bride are now in the dressing room getting ready for a photo shoot before meeting their guests.
