Cavalli names Peter Dundas as new creative director

MILAN (AFP) - Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli said on Thursday it had appointed Norwegian Peter Dundas as its new creative director.

Dundas was creative director at Emilio Pucci for seven years. He had worked at Cavalli between 2002 and 2005 and called his appointment a "homecoming".

Cavalli, who founded the fashion brand with his wife in the 1970s, said the choice of Dundas "was made with the desire to evolve a style that combines glamour, tradition and innovation".

Dundas has a strong celebrity following, a fact that was stressed by Cavalli.
