The Vocal Consort Recruitment Drive

The Vocal Consort is a semi-professional choir that participates in local and international choral festivals, competitions and events. Members range from secondary school students to working adults and practice sessions are held every Sunday.

National Youth Film Awards

This open call aims to identify aspiring young film-makers and discover the best emerging talent for technical film crafts in Singapore. Previously open only to Singaporean and permanent resident students enrolled in a media-related course at any institute of higher learning, this year's competition also accepts submissions by non-media students aged 18 to 35 as well as foreign students enrolled in local schools. The deadline is midnight on April 15. Awards will be presented at a ceremony in July.

Meeting In The Middle: Asian Women In Focus

This event, held in celebration of International Women's Day this month, discusses what can be done to combat the lack of exposure and conversation around women writers in this region. Picnic Suite

This concert by Singapore musicians Roberto Alvarez (flute) and Kevin Loh (classical guitar) will showcase diverse genres, ranging from Latin American by Maximo Diego Pujol to Romanian by Bela Bartok. It also marks the Singapore premiere of Picnic Suite, written by French composer Claude Bolling in 1980.

The Animal Show

This experimental collaborative project is by three Singapore-based artists - Sean Lee, Ng Ling Tze and Terence Koh. The series portrays their interpretation of animals, whether as a symbolic representation of daily human lives or a surreal imagination of the animals in fantasy settings.

Hikayat Sang Kancil (Legend Of The Mouse Deer)

This 1983 film was the first short animation film made in Malaysia and follows a sang kancil (mouse deer), which is often used in Malay stories to represent a shrewd character. This exhibition explores representations and contemporary equivalents of the mouse deer.
