Reframing Modernism

National Gallery Singapore's first international collaboration - co-curated and presented with Centre Pompidou, Paris - showcases modern masterworks by South-east Asian artists such as Le Pho, Latiff Mohidin, Affandi, Georgette Chen and H.R. Ocampo as well as works by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Wassily Kandinsky. The Gallery has also added two tours by senior curator Lisa Horikawa and curator Phoebe Scott tomorrow and on Sunday. There is free admission this weekend as the exhibition ends on Sunday.

Chen Wen Hsi's Ink Journey

Exhibition Of Studio Ghibli's Artwork

Polar Bear Gallery is exhibiting original hand-drawn production celluloids from Studio Ghibli films such as Castle In The Sky (1986), My Neighbor Totoro (1988), Kiki's Delivery Service (1989) and Princess Mononoke (1997). The celluloids are part of a private collection and being exhibited for the first time in Singapore. The gallery will also showcase works by renowned Japanese artist Naohisa Inoue, a background artist for Studio Ghibli's animated film Whisper Of The Heart (1995).
