Meet-The-Author: Troy Chin Of The Resident Tourist (Part 7)

The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Conducted By Maestro Zubin Mehta

Acclaimed classical music conductor Zubin Mehta will lead the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra on its return to Singapore with a classical programme of masterpieces of French, German and Russian origins. The concert will celebrate Mehta's 80th birthday and the 80th season of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.

Low Shao Suan & Low Shao Ying @ VCH: Music Diaries

A concert featuring award-winning twin pianist-composers Low Shao Suan and Low Shao Ying, who will play original works for solo piano and chamber music of various styles, ranging from neo-classical and film music to new age and jazz. Heroines Of Plucked Strings

Under the baton of resident conductor Quek Ling Kiong, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra's first concert of the year will feature acclaimed konghou musician Wu Lin and local twin sisters, zhongruan musician Tan Su-Min and guzheng musician Tan Su-Hui, in a night of traditional Chinese classics. Renowned Chinese composer and conductor Peng Xiu Wen's Three Variations On Plum Blossoms will be the opening piece.

KA By Shahrin Johry

KA is the debut production of Shahrin Johry, assistant choreographer of Maya Dance Theatre and winner of Sprouts All-Stars 2012 organised by the National Arts Council and Frontier Danceland.

In KA, Shahrin pays homage to the quest of seeking knowledge and the transition of passing it from one generation to the next. There will be a presentation dedicated to his teachers and mentor of 10 years Kavitha Krishnan.

The Marriage Of In And Out: Ambiguous Wall

South Korean artist Kim Byung Joo is interested in the sculptural expression of architecture, constructed from overlapping external and internal elements of the space. He is in the spotlight for his contemporary sensibility and originality and his works are collected by national contemporary art centres in South Korea. He has had works commissioned by Imperial Palace Hotel and Lotte Hotel.

1000 Singapores: Eight Points Of The Compact City

This exhibition travels home after making its debut at the Cite de L'architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris. M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2016 - White Rabbit Red Rabbit By Nassim Soleimanpour

Nassim Soleimanpour dissects the experience of a whole generation in this ground-breaking play from Iran. Disallowed a passport due to his refusal to do military service, he turns his isolation to his advantage with a play that requires no director, no set and a different actor for every performance. Veteran stage and television actors Neo Swee Lin and Sani Hussin, YouTube star and actress Munah Bagharib, Vasantham actress, singer and host Udaya Soundari and Mediacorp Love 97.2FM DJ Dennis Chew take on this monodrama staged in four languages.
