The M1 Contact Contemporary Dance Festival, which runs from Nov 21 to Dec 13, showcases local, regional as well as international acts. Here are three performances to catch.

T.H.E DANCE COMPANY - TRIPLE BILL

What: This triple-bill includes a reworking of Kuik Swee Boon's 2008 piece Pellucid, which is inspired by beauty in simple gestures. The performance will also include a work by dancer-choreographer Iratxe Ansa, who was previously with Spain's famed Compania Nacional de Danza and Nederlands Dans Theater, and a new creation by acclaimed Indonesian choreographer Jecko Siompo for T.H.E Dance Company.

SOUTH-EAST ASIAN CHOREOGRAPHERS' SHOWCASE

What: The pieces in this show are picked from 45 submissions to the festival's open call and it will be headlined by Europe-based Singapore artist Daniel Kok, who goes by the name Daniel K. He will stage the Singapore premiere of his work Cheerleader Of Europe (above), which offers a wry look at the socio-economic challenges in Europe.

INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS SHOWCASE

What: This showcase is a triple-bill featuring performances by leading Australian company Chunky Move, presenting gentle is the power, South Korea's R.se Dance Company performing Perfect Idea, and Ansa performing the sound of the body in the stillness.Where: Esplanade Theatre Studio
